Signal and Sure Signal

I selected Vodafone originally 15-20 years ago because it gave a goo signal where we live.  Over the years the signal has got worse and worse. We used to get reception in the outbuildings at the back of the house, it later moved to only in the house and in the font garden, then only upstairs and at the top of the garden, now only reliably at the top of the garden.

 

To help this we a got a sure signal, which did help but that does not work now.

 

Other networks (O2 and EE) have a good signal where we live just as we used to.

 

The question why is this?  DO we need to move to a different network?

 

I spoke to a vodafone techician last week who said he reset the sure signal.  It still does not work, I had no confidence in him as he seem not to understand the problem. There are no lights on the device.

I have spoken to someone in your support dept. who gave me some instructions about how to reset it.  I am not sure we were talking about the same device.

Hi Watts28,

If you have no lights on your Sure Signal, it almost certainly means that you have a faulty power supply.

But firstly we need to know which version of Sure Signal you have.... Judging by your serial number it's either a Version 2 or 3

A version 2 has a seperate power supply which can be easily and cheaply replaced, but the Version 3 which plugs directly into a mains socket has a built-in power supply which is not replaceable.

Please try connecting your Sure Signal in another location, such as a friend or family member's house. You’ll need to leave it connected for at least 24 hours.

 

We'll then be able to determine if the problems are specific to your location and router or with the Sure Signal itself. 

 

If you try this and still find there are no lights on the device, it's likely it has developed a fault. If you're still within the 24 month warranty, we can arrange a replacement. Come and speak to us via Live help so we can sort this out for you.
