Recently took out an iPhone SIM only tariff with VF and at the same time ordered a SS box as I knew there was no VF 3G at home (only get Edge)
I should have read these forums before ordering really as my ISP is Sky and my D-LINK Sky router was changed over to MER the other week, which apparently wont work with the SS box?
Are VF working on this issue, considering Sky are in the process of changing over all their Broadband users from PPPoA to MER?

Hi guys,
I've just had word back from our Sure Signal engineers that the new Sky IP ranges mentioned on the last page have now been added to our firewall whitelist.
Can anyone on Sky who was in that IP range please let me know if your Sure Signal is now working. You'll be able to check your IP address here. Please note that you may just need to reset your Sure Signal beforehand.

Hi
My SureSignal has recently stopped working.
Serial no. is 40111622417
My IP is a Sky Broadband one in the range 2.221.14.xxx
It's been fine until this weekend. I've done traceroutes to the 212.183.133.177 and upwards range. All are fine for first 8 hops:
Traceroute has started… traceroute to 212.183.133.177 (212.183.133.177),
64 hops max, 72 byte packets
1 10.0.xx.xx (10.0.xx.xx) 11.175 ms 0.993 ms 1.968 ms
2 xx.bb.sky.com (2.221.14.xxx) 40.670 ms 39.479 ms 39.908 ms
3 10.245.191.129 (10.245.191.129) 37.820 ms 38.865 ms 39.378 ms
4 89.200.131.193 (89.200.131.193) 59.929 ms 52.911 ms 56.207 ms
5 bu4.gr10.telon.uk.easynet.net (89.200.135.145) 52.066 ms 51.868 ms 52.271 ms
6 amdgw2.arcor-ip.net (195.69.144.123) 62.087 ms 59.027 ms 59.893 ms
7 188.111.129.21 (188.111.129.21) 72.319 ms 70.313 ms 72.088 ms
8 85.205.116.14 (85.205.116.14) 79.636 ms 79.961 ms 84.534 ms
9 * * * And then it goes on trying to find the destination IP.
I have the VSS unit set up in the DMZ so I don't have to worry about port forwarding or similar. MTU is 1500, network connection type is MER and DNS is 90.207.238.97 I've tried soft & hard reset - but to no avail.
Can you please help?
thanks
Nick

Hi,
We have been using the Sure Signal now for almost a year without any problems since you added it to the whitelist. Recently, we upgraded from Sky ADSL to Sky Fibre BB and now we are receiving txt messages saying to update our Postcode. The postcode has not changed? We are still in the same house.
Can you advise please?
Thanks

Hi awilliams,
Thanks for your post.
Don’t worry this happens sometimes when changes are made and it’s simple to fix.
Just log into your online account and click ‘Manage Sure Signal’. Then you just need to change your postcode to another (you can use ST1 5GP), wait 5 minutes and then change it back.
This should then update everything and the texts should stop.
If you have any problems, post your serial number and we can do this for you instead.
Thanks,
Jenny

Hi,
Just had a new Sure Signal delivered. Connected via Sky Broadband it doesn't appear to work. IP address is 90.201.5.144.
Is this something that you could resolve?
Many thanks,
Mark
