Sure Signal Suspended

ST1985

Unable to de-register or manage a sure signal as it's showing as suspended.

When I click on 'Manage Sure Signal' I get the following message;

"Sorry, you don't seem to have registered with us yet. Please contact Customer Support."

When I try and register the serial number 40112013103 it says it's already registered.

Tried Live Chat under the article "How do I register my Sure Signal?" from http://support.vodafone.co.uk/ but all I get is "Unfortunately none of our Support Advisers are available to chat to you at this time. Please try again shortly."

Help.

Hi

Try the live chat engagement window link in my signature below using a computer.

"If your Sure Signal still isn’t working:

If you haven’t used your Sure Signal for 3 months, we may have put a bar on it. Call us on 191 free from your Vodafone phone and we’ll remove it.

If you have not used your Sure Signal for 12 months we will automatically de-register your device. After this point it will not be possible to re activate this on our network."

Can you drop me a line or post an update here..

I am currently working with Trading Standards and would like to know if Vodafone are forcing you to either purchase a new unit or use an alternative option other than reactivation of your unit.

I am not sure this fall foul of Fair Contracts in termination of a device you chose not to use over 12 months and would like to investigate this further.

Paying £100 for a device which is then removed from service cannot be fair and maybe foul of contract law regardless of the Terms offered and I would like to see this challenged under unfair contract ruling.

There is no reason why this device cannot be reinstated to service and this msy be a route you should pursue.

It is important to report all failed SureSignal V3 using the links below to:

Trading Standards: Call them on 0345 4 040506

Vodafone CEO: http://www.ceoemail.com -  (Search Vodafone UK)

Was there any progress on this?

My Sure Signal was suspended after 12 months of inactivity and there was nothing in the warning emails that said it was irreversiable.

Talking to Vodafone they said "there was nothing they could do" despite my saying that surely they could send me another. Very dissatisfying experience.

As @BandOfBrothers stated, if a Sure Signal hasn't been used for 12 months, we'll stop providing the Sure Signal services and would be unable to reconnect it to the network.

You can find more information on this in its Ts&Cs.
