Hi, my Sure Signal appears to have stopped working.  I have reset it but my phone still has no signal.  I believe the sure signal i use is version 1.  It has four lights on the front and lights 1, 2 and 4 are solid green.  No 3 light is not working.

Hi kirree69,

Can you take a look at our Sure Signal Troubleshooting thread, and then post back your results if you’re not directed to an existing thread? :Smiling:

Cheers, Ben

Hi Ben, I have already tried the info on the trouble shooting guide but its still not working.  It hasnt been working for a few weeks now.

Hi kirree69,

So we can look into this, can you confirm some information for me?

  • Your Sure Signal serial number.
  • Your speed test results from here.
  • Your ping test results from here.
  • Your external IP address from here.

Can you also post the results of a traceroute?

On a PC

  • Click on Start and select Run
  • Type CMD into the Run box and press enter/click ok
  • A black box will appear.
  • In this box type tracert 212.183.133.177 press Enter
  • Paste the output of this command into your reply.

On a Mac

  • Open Terminal (Applications, Utilities)
  • Type traceroute 212.183.133.177 and press Enter
  • Paste the output of this command into your reply.

Hi kirree69,

Your Sure Signal was running an old software version so I have sent an updated version to you today.

It can take up to 24 hours to complete so make sure to keep the Sure Signal turned on. If after 24 hours it's still not working you'll need to do a reset;

-Hold in the reset button until all lights go solid

-Pull the power lead out with the reset button still pushed in

-Continue to hold down the reset button and reconnect the power lead

-Wait for all lights to come on and then release the reset button

Thanks,

Kay
