Sure Signal registration

Hi guys Im having trouble registering my sure signal, i just get an error message telling me to retry in a few minutes everytime! No help on the phone.

Hi,

 

Is it a new purchased from Vodafone model or a used one ?

 

If used you'll need to ensure the original owner has properly de registered it before you can register it.

Thanks for the reply, I bought it second hand, the gentleman did say he de- registered it.

I kind of suspected with the issues your having. 

 

Please can you double check with the original owner as it sounds like it's not. 

 

If they no longer have a Vodafone Account to use their Dashboard then they'll need to speak directly with Customer services.

Hi, thanks again, double checked with him, says he bought it new but never used it. Would I get anywhere with customer services?

This is a bit confusing - in one post you say the previous owner claims to have deregistered it.  In another that it was brand new and had never been been used.  

It can't be both as if it hasn't been used, it can't be deregistered as it wouldn't have been registered in the first place.  If it was deregistered it would mean that it has been used as it would have had to be registered in order to deregister it.

A little weird that the first response was they had De Registered it followed by they'd never used it when asked to double check !

one of the FAQs read 

 

"How long has it been since you last used your Vodafone Sure Signal?

 

Not for the last three months: We may have put a bar on it. You can remove this bar by calling us free on 191 from your Vodafone mobile.

 

Not for the last 12 months: Your device may be fully de-registered. Contact us if you’d like to reactivate your account. Find out more in our Ts&Cs."

 

Customer services is an option to talk to but it its registered then to protect the device they'll only engage with the Registered owner.

When i questioned first he said it was de registered, i then said i was having trouble registering, he said it was bought but never used, so im not sure. Thanks for the replies, will give customer services a call.

Im not sure if customer services will clarify if it is currently registered but it can't harm asking.

Well that was an awful experience, finally got through after 30 minutes to be told there is a dedicated sure signal line that operates between 8-9pm, so call back tomorrow? It was only 8.30. Anyone know this number?
