Sure Signal - stopped working.

Good morning,

I've used Sure signal for many years, I have four devices registered across different sites in the UK. However, my very first Sure Signal device (V1 - 21196948968) has suddenly stopped working over the weekend.

The device is showing OK, the three lights that should be steady green are all showing green but none of the devices in the home register to it anymore.

I live in an area with very poor Vodafone coverage so it's vital to have the Suresignal working properly.

I have done a full factory reset (twice) on the device and I've even removed mobiles and re-added them to the Sureginal but still nothing.

Can you suggest a fix please?

Thanks

Rob

I'll be interested to see the outcome of this one as we also have a version 1 Sure signal at work and the exact same thing has happened since Monday this week, all 3 lights are on but no 3G signal or connecton on the two registered iphones.

Tried a reset, de-registered & re-registered the box but still nothing.

Have the V1 boxes suddenly been invalidated... .....

I'm sorry but my time is more precious to me than diagnosing faults like this. I have scrapped the device. It is four years old and given to me free by Vodafone as a test unit, it has done well.

Regards

It's a shame you don't try the final suggestion as it has worked for 3 or 4 others on the forums recently.

AP68 - give it a go, it won't hurt

I appreciate what you are saying but we can get a brand new V3 for £33 and I've already spent several hours looking at this fault and had coverage at my home down for several days.... it just doesn't cost out...especially when I have already proven a new device resolves the problem immediately.

I'll donate our two old V1 to science... I would waste as much time as this on a faulty router, it's the same principal .

Ahh, great you have a solution in place for ditching the old one - just don't keep it as a spare in a cupboard somewhere for a rainy day, as they suspend themselves after a number of months not being used, and if too long passes they really can't be fixed :Smiling:

Actually I'm more than happy to send to the guys at Vodafone if they want a duff unit to test with? It may help resolve the issues with other V1 users. There does seem to be a very large group of people with the same problem developing on the V1 devices. I'm a bit suspicious that an update has knackered them up!

Please let me know of you want them, I have two faulty V1 devices

Good Afternoon ansellrk,

Thanks for the offer but we've already fed this issue back to the devices team who have Sure Signals to run tests. :smileywink:

Kay

I've tried the full reset procedure, including removing the ethernet cable but stil no luck.

Have requested a re-sync of my SS box (21230044683) in a separate post.

HiAP68,

I can see from your duplicate post here that everything is sorted. :Smiling:

Cheers, Ben
