Sure Signal v3 Stopped Working - Off For 2 Days and Counting

My SS v3 has been working fine for two weeks but now fails to connect to the Vodafone servers. I have a blinking red power light and a solid amber Internet/Network light, the light next to the power light.

 

I have unplugged it, reset it with no joy, tried different port/cable. It's connected to a BT HomeHub and as I say has been fine for two weeks. Nothing my end has changed all.

 

The serial no is 40124207123 can someone at Vodafone resync it or whatever magic you do?

@Kay,

 

Haven't touched the unit since your last message and cannot see any change in behaviour. Power light steady red, connection light (immediately to its right) slowly flashing white as it has been for 2 weeks now.

 

What's the next step?

Thanks ##### at the serial number and the connection to our servers, the last time it made contact was back on Monday 6 January.

 

This is now pointing to a fault with the unit so I'd recommend arranging a repair. You can find out how to do this here.

Hi

Now I'm completely confused. For 2 weeks you've had me playing with ports, updating firmware and running diagnostic tests like a tracert that hever reaches its destination. Exactly how does that add up to a faulty unit, especially if I can't complete a tracert or ping to your servers with other devices?

I will take the unit to a shop as you advise. At what point do I need to deregister the unit and the phone account?

Thank you for the troubleshooting you've undertaken, but as it keeps repeating the process, despite what has been done, it would point to the device being faulty.

 

Please deregister the unit before taking it to the store.
