Hi all,
My wife upgraded her iPhone 4s to a new 5s on Thursday 31st July (so new nano sim). Since then I have been unable to get our Sure Signal to work with it. I have tried all of the things in the troubleshooter including removing and readding the number, deregistering the sure signal, resetting it etc but nothing works. Can anyone in tech support help?
Many thanks
Matt

Thank you for this. Its not the phone that is the issue, if I use my SIM card in my wife's iPhone 5s then I can connect to the sure signal with full 3G, its really weird! I have tried Mohammed's suggestion but to no avail. I am going to have a tinker with my port settings on the router later but I am not holding out much hope!
thanks

OK so I opened all the recommended ports on my firewall and mapped the traffic to the VSS which I put on a fixed IP......drumroll....No effect at all. Yet another waste of an hour of my life trying to sort this out. Totally and utterly fed up now,

Hi MattSmith94.
Just to clarify:
Please confirm that the SIM used by your wife is a Vodafone SIM.
The next step would be to try a new SIM.
Please visit your local store and they'll be able to provide the new SIM, as well as transfer the information across.
Please repeat the process of removing the number having difficulties and performing a reset before adding it again.

Hi Dave,
Thank you for the reply. I can confirm that the answer to all of your questions is yes. It is not just my wife's sim that will not work, I have tried my mother in law's one which was also upgraded the same week to an iPhone 5s nano sim. Both are vodafone sims.
I will try removing and resetting once more to see if that helps and also dropping my firewall completely just to see,.

Hi All,
Just an update to say that I got to the bottom of what the problem was and it was nothing to do with vodafone. I use a Netgear DGND3700 modem/router and it was that which was preventing the VSS working. I connected the VSS to my neighbour's network and my wife's phone was picking up 3G straight away. Once the VSS was reconnected to my router it worked immediately. Something on the Netgear router must have been preventing the SIM information reaching Vodafone's servers to register the user. So relieved it is working now so thank you to everyone on here and Vodafone tech support who have been great, hopefully this will be of help to someone else.
Regards
Matt
