USB Modem - getting a pay as u go dongle to work with contract sim

My dongle has broke i have gone out and baught a pay as you go dongle and was told in store just plug it in the software is on it and it will work well that didnt so ive gone thru some of your previous topics about the and they said to download the older version of the software to do this yet still no luck. what else can i do .

Let me firstly welcome you to the Vodafone eForum. :)

You need to ensure that the connection settings in VMC(Vodafone Mobile Connect) are configured to contract not PAYT.

To check/change these follow these instructions:

Open VMC on your PC/laptop
Click on manage Connections
Select view
Highlight your connection settings and click edit
In the APN field type internet
Tick use authentication
username - web
password - web
click ok twice then select main view
Click on connect and your dongle should connect

If this fails to rectify your issue, just let me know, along with any error messages, and I'll assist further.
