VSS issue

The issue you’re experiencing:

VSS 1 worked for years and now not working. I have reset, deregistered and registered again but no joy.

 

What light sequence you're seeing:

1 solid and then 2 flashing, then 1 & 2 solid and 4 flashing then all out and sequence starts again

Hi grebouk,

There is no doubt in my mind that your issue is due to a degraded power unit.

Replacement power supplies are available from Ebay or Amazon and cost around £10.

But firstly, if you want to prove that is the fault, have a look around for a 12 Volt power supply at around 1 - 2 Amp capacity with the same connector. You can find such units on external hard drives, printers, monitors, routers etc.etc.

Many V1 Sure signals have been binned because no one can diagnose the problem mainly due to the fact that the power light is fairly stable and does mislead everyone in thinking that the power supply is ok.

There are many threads similar to yours which illustrate the issue, here is one picked at random ..........
