Solution

Vodafone K3760 problem

Levig
Not applicable
Hello,

Hope that anybody can help or shed some light on this issue.
I got the K3760 installed on a dell GX280 and for some reason the VMC Lite software keeps saying that there isnt a device detected.

now what I've tried to date is: removing the device in Device Manager, so the Globetrotter GI4xx drivers and also the USB Mass Storage device, rebooted the machine and after that tried to reinstall the adapter and again the hardware installs properly but the VMC Lite is again showing no device or searching for device and keeps on going and going. I have managed to get the card working perhaps 2 times but needs to be on continually as I havent got Adsl connection where the pc is.

So is there any1 that can give me some ideas on what to try?

Thanks.

Hi levig and welcome to the eForum

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with this and can completely appreciate how frustrating this must be for you, especially as you don't have an ADSL connection to use as a back up.

My first suggestion is always to pop it into a different USB port and give it a few minutes. That usually then forces things through and the computer picks the device up.

Failing that, the other thing you can try is to download and install the latest version of the VMC software, which can be found here - Vodafone Mobile Connect Software - ( I understand you do not have a connection at the moment , so to get this installed it will need to be download elsewhere and then transferred to your PC)

Please give this a go and if you have any more questions just give me a shout and we'll be happy to help

Thanks

Wayne
