Vodafone K3765 on WIN7x64 problems

Hi

I'm trying to use a Huawei K3765 modem on a HP Probook, but it won't work. I've installed it and VMC sees it as a device but not an active one. I've taken the stick out and have put it back in and then it says that the device can't be installed correctly and in my device manager it shows up under COM ports but nowhere else. I've scanned the pc for virusses, malware,..., I've reinstalled it multiple times with the original drivers on the stick and the newer ones but nothing works. 

Strange thing is when I connect it to a Windows 8 desktop the damn thing works. I know it's something with the pc but I don't know what. If anyone has had this problem and found a solution please let me know.

Welcome to the eForum.

It's worthwhile trying to see if you can get the software downloaded instead just in case your PC has some sort of Firewall preventing the software on the stick from running. You can download the software here.

Let me know the result.
