Vodafone Mobile Broadband - Problem Signing Into Napster

Hi....
I have a Vodafone e272 dongle which i have been using for a year now. It has worked like a dream.....until now. I am able to connect to every website but, i need to sign in to my Napster account. Up until two weeks ago this was not a problem. I have contacted Vodafone and Napster who are both baffled. Using the dongle, i just cannot sign in but when i disconnect the dongle and use my laptop wireless network...i can sign in.
Is this a port setting thats changed for some reason?
I really need this to work and hope someone has an answer.

I'm having exactly the same problem. It worked fine 2 weeks ago and now it doesn't sign in at all on Vodafone. I get the feeling Vodafone are blocking the ports for Napster.

Skipster...thanks for your reply. I was on the phone for an hour last sunday to vodafone. Give them their due, they tried all they knew to resolve this issue. Bottom line is, something has changed in the system but they just cannot explain it. After joining this forum and reading some of the posts, its clear that its not just me thats got this problem.
It would be interesting to try a t-mobile dongle and see if it worked. Snag is im tied into my contract for another 6 months.
Fingers crossed someone can get to the bottom of it.

I can completely appreciate how frustrating this matter is for the two of you.

I can catagorically say that we do not block Napster nor will the ports have changed.

Can I ask that you download this version of the Vodafone Mobile Connect software. Once you have downloaded this, you'll need to go to add/remove programs and uninstall the Optimisation Client.

Could you then try this again to see if it resolves the issue?

I've installed the new software and then uninstalled the optimisation client and it still doesn't seem to work.

Any more ideas?

Nope me neither......client has loads of flexability but still no go.

Hmmmmm. I must admit that I'm not totally sure what the issue is however I think that we are going to need to traise this to our IT teams to investigate for you.

Gents, just a wee update to my Napster \ vodafone connection. To my great surprise, i connected to Napster successfully yesterday using my e272 dongle.
Vodafone were onto this problem and would like to thank them all for their cooperation.
I could not be happier,
