Hello from Vodafone Romania.
I also have the same problem and i follow this instructions, and the same result.

But i found the most simply solution: just uninstall .NET Framework 3.5 from Start/Control Panel/Add remove programs...

No need restart or install/uninstall VMC...

Try this and post the results..

Regards..

I tried this weeks ago - no luck. In the meantime I gave up. I wnt back to Vodacom locally and changed my contract to include a different laptop.

Hey there,

We have the same problems (error message with 26202.xml) here. I’ve already tried all the hints posted. The error occurred after getting some updates over our WSUS server. I’ve tried version 9.2.4.7868 and 9.4.3.16284 of vmc with and without installed .net framework 3/3.5.
Sadly I’m not sure if I’m allowed to post the Log-Files (security level and stuff).

Now I’m going to load an earlier image (before updates and vmc where installed), but I’m afraid, that the error will come again after getting updates…

Is there any hint that is generally valid?

Hi guys,

I'm pleased to reveal I have some new fixes to dish out on this one!

1. Uninstall all version of .net framework using .Net framework cleanup tool

2. Install .net framework 2 SP1 or .net framework 3.5 SP1

3. Reboot and retest

Please let us know if this resolves the issue.

Hiya. Apologies for the bump.

Precisely the same issue, this time with Windows 7 RC (build 7100) x64.

Thing was, it WAS working, AFAIK .net 3.5 comes as part of the OS. All of a sudden.... the error message.

c:\Program Files (x86)\Vodafone\Vodafone Mobile Connect\Opco\00000 default\00000.XML Program error!
Not entirely sure... it's not my machine.

Toshiba Satellite A200, Win 7 rc x64 (7100), the stick is a Huawei K3715.

Australian specification software and USB stick. Help? :)

Hi heisdeadjim (but not as we know it),

I'm afraid we not only can't support Windows 7 at this point - but we certainly can't support the pre-release build, OR the Australian version of the software

I can only suggest to re-try with the proper version of Windows 7, or wait for the next version of Vodafone Mobile Connect to be released in order to resolve this particular issue :(

Some.... unofficial ideas then? :P

Because it was working, then all of a sudden decided not to. Aside from re-installing, I am lost!

Sorry :( If I make any suggestion that caused further problems for you, this would make us liable, which is why we generally have to avoid giving support on products we don't directly have involvement with.

Did anything change between the product working and then not working? This would be what I'd be looking for. Perhaps roll back to a system restore point taken at a time when it was working fine?

Thanks Jon for this, I have followed your advice and the problem seems to be cleared and I can now open the connect software whilst having net framework 3.5 installed.

While Vodafone is working on the issue, another workaround solution is to connect by using windows, i.e., set up a new connection (from Control Panel -> Network/connection -> add a new connection) and connect/disconnect from there without using Vodafone software.
