Vodafone PAYG Mobile Broadband - How Does The Credit I've Got Get Used?

fyn
Not applicable
I recently registered on the vodafone site (with an older PAYG sim £15 1GB - not the 30 day package) and it doesn't show my data allowance but rather the calling credit I have left. Plus after I registered I was given an extra pound added to the calling credit.

Does this mean that when my original 1GB/£15 is used up I will have an unusable £1 left on my account, or does this extra £1 get used up as an extra portion of data allowance?

I'd appreciate it if someone who has used up their first £15/1GB could enlighten me.

Hi fyn

Welcome to the eForum :D it is always good to see new faces on here.

As this is the old one it will still show as credit on the account, the £1 will then be used until it reached zero. It is worked out at the same ratio, so you will get approximately 68MBs extra to use :D

Thanks Martin :)

If I add £5 or £10 to the calling credit that I already have will it also get used at the same rate?

I got the impression from the box that I could only top-up £15 at a time (which is why I thought the extra £1 would be left over). But being able to top-up any other amount would be handy too.
