Vodafone Protect has locked my HTC One phone and i have no way of getting my PIN reset!

I have never felt so frustrated before!

I tried to delete Vodafone Protect and it locked my HTC one. I don't know the PIN number and when i clicked on "Forgot my PIN" , an email was sent to my inbox to reset it.

Only, when i click on reset, it sends me online to login using my mobile number and some password which i have no clue what it is. The most annoying and comical thing is that, when you click onn =,"I forgot my password", i'm being urged to type in my mobile number so a password can be sent to my phone.

MY PHONE IS LOCKED!! DUH! 

I cannot retrieve my text message as its locked.

I phoned the technical team but they could not help me at all, they want me to do a hard reset. I do not want to do a full reset.

HELP PLEASE

A friend of mine recently had this problem but he used a different approach.

He logged into https://protect.vodafone.co.uk/Home and used the Wipe Device option.

He was then able to set his phone up as a new device.

Obviously this wiped all data on his phone but all his stuff was sync'd to Google anyway.

Ring McAfee they can sort this out for you it's Vodafone security but run by McAfee
