Hello!
I have a more complex problem and I really hope you can help me out.
So, I live in Hungary and got my Smart Ultra 6 as a gift from a friend, who lives in the UK. As she didn't know, that you need to unlock it to be able to use it with other countries's carriers, we decided that we unlock it using an eBay code. We were not sure if it would break the warranty or not.
Now, after several months withough any problems whatsoever, my phone's headphone jack (aux) is not working properly. When I listen to music via headphones, sometimes it randomly disconnects and thus pauses the playback. Sometimes it happens 2-3 times a minute, sometimes it doesn't happen for an hour. I have tried several headphones, and the issue stays, so the problem is certainly not with the headphones I am using.
After some google searches, I decided that the problem might just be a little debris and/or lint in the jack, so I decided to clean it with compressed air - some lint came out, but unfortunately, this didn't solve the problem. The headphone is broken somehow, I am pretty sure.
So, my question is: what do you think, the warranty still stands, even though I unlocked the phone? (it shouldn't have an effect on anything, and for Ł20 Vodafone would do it too)
And if so, how fast would they repair or creplace my phone? Because my sister is traveling to the UK soon, but for a week only, and if it is a thing that can be done in a week, then I am giving the phone to her, so Vodafone can either fix it or replace it. If it is not, or the warranty is broken, there is no point in it and I might just try to find a repair shop in Hungary or something.
Thanks for the answers

The obvious thing would be for your sister to take the phone into a Vodafone shop and see what they say. Note that they may need proof of purchase to show that the phone is still within the warranty period. Even if they send the phone away, there's no guarantee it'll be done under warranty* and the process, whether done or refused, is likely to take longer than a week. It would therefore be desirable to have a UK address to which the device could be sent, or someone who can collect the phone and then send it on to you.
If that's not an option, I'd give it best and look for a local repairer.
Do you need the jack? Could you use a Bluetooth headset as a workround?
* I don't know what the policy is on unlocked devices. If the unlock was official, I'd say you'd be likely to be OK. I don't know whether an unofficial one would be detectable.

The thing is, I can get loaned and use an other phone for a week, but only if it is probable that they will fix/replace it. If it takes more than a week or they won't replace it for sure, then I won't even send it out with my sister. It is still under warranty by dates.
