My wife upgraded over the phone and was told by the person she spoke to that the S7 Edge "comes with a free VR Headset" and seeing as you get told at the very start of the process that "All calls are recorded"  I'd like to think they wont try that line with me.

I was also told that over the phone and seeing as the vodafone moderator confirmed on this forum on the 30th March that is was an offer from vodafone on the 30th March I can't understand how it was a glitch. I am waiting on a call back from them

It's a shame to hear about your wife's account, but we're glad to hear that the issue has now been resolved.

So we can chase up your VR, please post your reference number quoted in the email reply. It should look something like this [#123456].

@FIONNUALAKEENAN

Please also send us your email reference number, we'll be happy to check the status of this for you.

Hi Becca,  what reference number are you referring to as I/we have had no emails from Vodafone regarding the upgrade, so I am at a loss as to what you require I'm afraid.

Edit:

If you mean the code I was sent in the private message contact request, it is EFT195

@fangface666 you should have received an automated response email to that message with a reference number number in the subject line. did this not come through?

@Nabs, nope, I never received a confirmation email when i replied to the private message, just the confirmation screen you get afterwards saying they will be in touch.

I even replied again a few days ago as I had not heard anything, and again no email, plus I'm now not getting email updates regarding this thread, I just come back to look every few hours.

I've checked my dashboard settings and notifications are on, and I've not changes my email preferences, and they are not in the Spam/Junk folder.

Bl***y frustrating.

This is getting ridiculous, I've just looked at my Private messages section on here and clicked on the "sent" tab to discover that, according to this system, I havent sent any......

Despite sending them twice, once on the 3rd of April and again on the 25th. Incidently the body of text from that post (25th) being the same body of text (copied and pasted) from the private message reply that I sent immediately before posting here.

@fangface666 On the private message you've received, there's a hyperlink to take you to an online form - located on click 'here'.

This then takes you to a page where you'll enter the code you've been provided with.

Once you have completed all of the details asked for, you can then hit 'Send form' at the bottom of the page.

This then submits the form to our team and you'll then get an automated email to say we've received your email and we'll be in touch - this also contains your unique reference number (#12345678).

I have been through that process twice and never received a confirmation email, so, as stated earlier I do not have a reference no, as I have never been sent one.

It's a moot point anyway as today I went into my local vodafone store to try and resolve this once and for all.

In there I was told the information about the 30 day waiting period was in regard to the Samsung fit gear 2 offer that ended in February.

The VR headset is a purely Vodafone offer and has nothing to do with Samsung and should have been sent out with the phone, ( also backed up by a Samsung rep in the Vodafone store)

They looked into my wife's account on their system and could see that no VR headset had been ordered at the time of the upgrade, and that it was an issue for CS to sort out, something that they couldn't do in-store, but would put a note on the system , and told me that I had to phone CS and tell them to honour the deal and send out a headset.

So my wife phoned 191 from instore only to be told that they can't send out a sole VR headset unless it's attached to an accompanying S7 edge order at the same time!

She was then told that her account would be creditted £80 and we would have to purchase one from the local Voda store (which we were already in and they had no stock, otherwise they were quite prepared to give us a headset as they could see from their system that it was Vodafones error)

End result £80 has been credited to my wife's bank account and we have been told to source one ourselves.

End of VR headset fiasco.

FYI, just had a text to try and get me to switch my BB to Voda....I don't think so after this debacle.

@fangface666 I'm glad to see that you've been able to come to some form of resolution.

I understand that this isn't ideal. I sincerely apologise for the confusion and trouble you've had to go through regarding this issue.
