I had a contract which was due to end in December 2015!!
it ended and I cancelled the contract..
I received an email to say there is outstanding balance of £564 back in February 2016
Kept contacting vodafone to let them know it shouldnt be there!!
Finally in August 2016 they managed to remove outstanding balance from my account.. (VERY VERY slow at carrying out a simple task!) but now the issue is that Vodafone has been putting a default / late payment mark on my credit history!! this shouldnt be there..
tried to contact vodafone multiple times on all the numbers possible but no one can get hold of CREDIT FILE SUPPORT TEAM!!
Even complaint form on the uk website is not working!
Very dissapointed
I complained over the phone multiple times but no outcome..
Everytime I ring I am promised that it will be resolved in 24hrs or 3 working days or even end of this week!
I am promised to receive a call from the customer service advisor but nothing!
Very unprofessional.. Do I have to keep wasting my time to solve your internal communication issues?? One department cannot get hold of another department??
Contact me of any sensible person from vodafone can solve this!
not happy at all !!

Hi @t_thakar
I appreciate how frustrating this must be for you
Their isn't a working email address for customer services. The avenues to raise a complaint are in here > Vodafone Code of Practice.
Customer services would refer your case to the Credit File Support team to be investigated. You wouldn't actually speak directly with them.
This is a help guide I have written which explains which department to ask your case to be referred to - i.e 'Vodafone Credit File Support Team' - and how to add a 'Notice of Correction' via Experian. It is Free to add the Notice of Correction. This gives you the tools to add notes on your Credit File to explain why the Default is showing.
Please take into consideration that a Default will only be removed if it was reported on your Credit File incorrectly.

Hi @BandOfBrothers
Then why do the customer service team asking me to talk to them?
They even try to redirect me.. I wait for hours then I get cut off!
How long do the credit file support team take to wipe my bad credit history!
It was Vodafones error not mine.. so I shouldn't have to chase it up..
The only reason Im chasing it up is because Its affecting my rating not Vodafones. We need a way of putting bad rating on vodafones credit history then they will learn..
The complaint I made was back in December 2015. I have a recorded delivery receipt proof when I sent the letter..and no reply
I can share this receipt with you if you want..

It does seem we are seeing conflicting information. I'm told that team will deal with a case but do not speak to the public.
As I say you can add a Notice of Correction to put your information on your credit file and experian can help and advise you too.
We are fellow customers here.
However , This eforum is owned and monitored by Vodafone U.K. We have members of the Vodafone Tech Team who are available to respond and Help where they can. They have the Vodafone logo next to their name. All posts are read by them.
Hang in there and I'm sure they'll be in touch.

Thanks for your help @BandOfBrothers
Hopefully they will contact me!!
the customer service over the phone or the live chat is rubbish..
firstly they dont understand what I want to do and secondly they just make false promisse to call..
Hopefully someone at vodafone from UK will know what they need to do and will be able to help

@t_thakar If you are 100% certain that the charges were erroneous and it sounds as that was the case as Vodafone had removed them then it is worth putting a Notice of correction on your credit file.
A Notice of Correction is a short explanatory note (up to 200 words) you can add to an entry on your credit report to explain the background to that information for example, the reason for a late payment. Anyone searching your credit report in the future will see the Notice and they must take account of it when you apply for credit. (This might slow down your application)
Simply send a letter to the Credit Reference Agency with the wording you would like to add to your file and your full name and address. Please remember to sign your letter.
Please remember that the Notice of Correction can't be more than 200 words long, defamatory, libellous, incorrect or frivolous. The note will remain on your Credit file until you ask for it to be removed.

Hi @kids
Notice of correction does nothing..
I have already put this in place.. but my mortgage company is saying it does not mean you are telling the truth.. If vodafone removes this bad credit history then they will consider this.. else it could be a false statement..
I have to get it removed altogether.. else it means nothing

Have you perhaps spoken with experian for advice?
As I mentioned I'm sure one of the team will be along soon.

Hi @@BandOfBrothers
I have spoken to Experian team and they said that they will try and get in touch with the Vodafone team but will not be able to remove unless they confirm..
which I think will be the same as me.. try to contact vodafone and get no where..

@t_thakar As you say the notice of correction does not actually do anything ( in itself).
It is intended to give you an opportunity to explain why in your opinion the default marker is there. Lenders can then choose to take this into consideration or otherwise. Once Vodafone notifies Experian that the default marker should be removed it can take up to 28 days for Experian to actually purge it from your file.
