Can anyone help? My sure signal packed up today. I was advised by so called customer services that I should go to my local shop and they would sort it as it was still in warrenty. When I got there they couldnt help me as they said it was obsolite its the version 2 unit, I said thats not what customer services said again the shop said they couldnt help and I needed to get back in touch with customer services grrrrrrrr

I rang 191 back they then told me the unit was obsolite different operator different answer grrrrrrr

This time they firstly suggested i get a new power supply for the sure signal at mt own expense i might add to see if the power supply was at faulut  but luckily i found one but it didnt work, they suggested i then buy a new v3 sure signal at my own expense!!

Then they suggested I needed to get wifi calling but that would mean getting a new phone either a iphone 6s or a samsung galaxy s6 this is a joke as i already have an iphone 6 what a joke, as i pointed out my contract still has another 9 months to run so i cant do that either?

What do i do now???? I now cant use my phone at home as i relied on my sure signal to get a signal customer service no use.

What do I do i cant not have no service at home customer service no help

please help

As your sure signal v2 is still under warranty I would think they would be obliged to repair it or replace it.

And it's a bit of a cheek to ask you to buy a power supply for an item that's still under warranty.

If they don't replace it, what's the point of the warranty, or maybe you could buy a v3 sure signal and just pay the difference in price ?

Provided it's still under warranty I think you have a good case here and should perservere with it, I know supports a nightmare.

Hi and thanks for the response unfortunatly its not under warrenty so the shop and cs say as i got it in 2012 when i first joined vodafone the reason at the time for moving to them but to have to purchase either  a new phone ffrom them to get wifi calling if it walks or to have to purchase a new just to get some sort of service is a bit mad. im still actually having network issues with them anyway as i get little or no service or data service where i work but i will persivere

You're welcome.

It is correct that at present Calling Over Wifi is restricted to the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus....... And the Samsung Galaxy s6 and s6 Edge as long as the Samsung phones have been purchased directly from Vodafone.

Its still in its infancy hence why the current restrictions but hopefully in due course the list of compatible handsets will be opened up.

Unfortunately as your aware as the Sure Signal is out of the Manufacturing Warranty you would need to buy another device either from Vodafone or from places like eBay. I must stress any bought 2nd hand have to be De Registered properly by the original owner.

Hi @surf93

The Sure Signal Device has a 24 Month Warranty.

How long have you owned yours ?

If it's within the 24 Months then I can only suggest to use Live Chat or Customer service on 191 to request a Returns Bag where they'll look at it at their Repair Centres.

In my experience if an item fails within manufacturing warranty and the issue is not user caused then it should be repaired or if beyond economical repair replace with the same model or if obsolete replace with the next version of similar specs / price.

Hi

but i was at first told it was in warrenty and advised to go to my local store to get it sorted out. When i got there they said it was obsolite as its a v2 box and the warrenty runs for 2 years and i originally got the first box in 2012.

They said i have to either purchase a new one or purchase an iphone 6s or plus or a samsung galaxy s6 but cant do that as ive another 9 months left on my contract so cant do that either but what ever way it seems i have to pay

Hopefully someone from vodafone will see this and see where we go, i certainly cant go on like this for 9 months not sure what else to do
