Where do I connect the cable on the wall socket and on the modem ... I am getting the Vodafone WiFi intelligent hub activated on full fibre

Are you taking about the ONT?
There should be one LAN socket on that, goes to the WAN socket on the router, with a standard Cat5e lan cable.

Afterthought. If you have the router you should have some basic instructions either in a manual or on the box it came in.

Too late to edit, but it's the yellow port on the bottom side of the ONT. Difficult to see but it's there. If you have to pop the ONT off the wall to see it be careful with the fibre - don't pull or bend it too much.

I definately wouldn't suggest "popping" the ONT off the wall. The covers are hinged to allow access.

@GVD The OpenReach ONT has a yellow port which connects to the VF router WAN port by standard ethernet cable. You should have instructions with the router and/or a link to a VF help page.

Sorry to jump on. That white cable coming out the wall is that the fibre cable?
I'm debating whether to remove my virgin connection inside and cable going to outside so they can bring new cable through existing virgin media hole. Wondering whether hole may be big enough for virgin cable and BT cable together and keep both in place?

I'd wait until the installers turn up. If they think using the existing hole is the best way to install the ONT, but the hole isn't big enough for both, remove the cable then if necessary.
However you are presumably still using Virgin, and I wouldn't disconnect that until you are sure the Vodafone is up and running.
