Hi,
Since Friday my broadband (FTTC) keeps dropping connection. I raised an issue on Sunday evening and 1st line support said after running test that they will upgrade the broadband to FTTP . I live in an apartment and have the box with the fibre outside my hallway door. I didn't receive any contact and so rang support and was told that the upgrade has been cancelled.

This is always happening with openreach (never open and hardly reachable).
Did vodafone not explain why your installation was cancelled. Probably not, but that's the standard of CS we have to put up with for cheap broadband. Go to any other ISP's support forum and you'll see the same problems there. Get in touch with them again and ask for (nay, insist on) an explanation for the cancellation.
Dial 17070 from your landline and try the quiet line test. Listen for any noise (crackles, pops, voices).
