Connection dropping every evening

Hi

For the past 2 weeks my broadband connection has been terrible every evening between roughly 1800 and 2200. The connection intermittently comes on and off but only lasts for a few seconds. This applies when using WiFi or a wired connection. I have had Vodafone Broadband for about 4 weeks and for the first 2 had no issues. I haven't changed anything and the router is plugged into the master socket via a filter. The Vodafone app says it's fine throughout the whole time but when you try and go on the help and support page it can't load it because there's no internet! The router lights don't change through any of this they look normal. Any ideas what I can do?

If you do a traceroute after a dropout you'll probably see that your routing is alternating between Vodafone's London datacentre and their Manchester datacentre.  As you could almost set your watch by these drops I'd be amazed if Vodafone's higher-level tech teams aren't aware of the issues, its a shame that they are not communicating this with their support staff and their users!

Routing changed a couple of times early last night, but since then it's stabilized, so hopefully whatever was going wrong for the WHOLE OF THE NORTHEAST is now fixed.

*It won't have cured unrelated issues though, but at least with the compound issues out of the way things should be better!

First night of contract and my super mega fast fibre connection is down...hope is a one off

How do you a traceroute Keith? I think this may be the issue that is currently affecting me.

Hi,i'm having the exact same issues !! Ive been on to vodafone customer services numorus of times. Comes back with the same answer........ alls ok !!!........ Its def not !!!

This is driving me insane !! It started around two plus weeks ago. Everything says its ok,but its not !!

The internet will drop for about 5-7secounds then back on for around a min, then off again etc etc. !!

This starts around 5 to 6pm until late in the evening !!

In the morning its all fine again, then come the evening its back to its old tricks. Ive been with vodafone for 20 months & they've been the best internet provider ive been with. But now im thinking of cutting my loses and telling them to stuff it !! Shocking customer service. ................HELP !!!!!!!

Yeah I would say it's about 2 weeks for me as well, maybe a bit longer. It was fine before that.

If you do a speed test the speed comes up as fine. The problem is it just can't connect to websites without multiple attempts and delays. As you say mainly happens in the evenings. I'm wondering what the rules are on cancellation charges in these circumstances. The service is faulty, regardless of the sync speed, Surely they can't charge you to cancel when their internet struggles to connect to sites every evening?

It's shocking ! It's well stressing me out. Will look into cancellation tomorrow.
