After signing up for GeforceNow 3080 last year I was disappointed to find that my existing FFTC (copper wire) Vodafone Broadband always had higher than acceptable "Packet Loss" resulting in the message that "Streaming over your network is not recommended". The bandwidth was always OK at over 50mbps.
I had contacted Vodafone support about this but the issue was never resolved.
When my contract was coming to an end I contacted Vodafone about trying somewhere else but they talked me into an upgrade to Full Fibre at a lower price than I was already paying with no setup fees so I accepted the new service without hesitation.
Two weeks ago on 13/6 an Openreach engineer arrived and installed the fibre, it didn't work that day. I contacted Support who told me it was OK to leave the old FFTC cable along with the new WAN cable plugged in so that we would still have internet and that the router would switch over when the Fibre was activated.
I don't think that was true because after still having no Fibre 4 days later I unplugged the FFTC cable and the Fibre came on.
The problem now is that having "UPGRADED"??? to Full Fibre I am only get between 12 and 29 mbps on GeforceNow and the Packet Loss fluctuates between 0 and 20 depending on the mbps. I have spent hours on the phone to the Full Fibre support team but the issue is unresolved.
I wish I had looked here before "Upgrading"

Oddly enough I get a full 75 Mbps, which makes the issue far less annoying than it could be . It's something to do with Streaming, they have identified a fault with the network but not really indicated when it will be fixed as it's probably an Openreach issue?
So are you on Superfast 2, but on FTTP? I honestly wouldn't believe them when they say they have identified an issue with the network, especially as it is Openreach.
Could you take your MacBook Pro somewhere else and check it doesn't have the same problem on a different line?

Yes, I think I may be able to do that today.
We're watching F1 today and haven't decided whether here or at my sons place yet. I have to determine who has the most beer :0)

Didn't go after all. No change with my fault

So Vodafone asked me to do these tests and send them in to 2LH (tier 2 support)..
Someone from there called today clearly didn't have a clue what my problem was. and hadn't seen the email. She spoke to 3LH (tier 3 support?) a couple of times after I explained the problem AGAIN. It seems we are unable to speak to the godly tier 3 directly, which is absurd because the lady on tier 2 was doing a terrible job of relaying the problem. It's like Chinese whispers, no wonder nothing gets fixed.
She raised the fault again

Unfortunately that is part of the problem.
If, as I believe you say, that you cannot identify a problem, other than with Geoforce, and it doesn't seem to be common to other users, I can see why they are unable to find the cause.
If it really is that important to you all you can do is go through the complaints procedure until you get a "deadlock" letter and take it to CISAS. If they find in your favour you will be allowed to leave penalty free.

Thanks for that but unfortunately it doesn't help if I leave Vodafone. I want to find out why GeforceNow doesn't work to an acceptable level on FFTP when it did on FFTC.
I don't know if you are in the UK but we are facing significant increases in energy prices. and my physical PC is quite a power hungry beast , it has a 1000W power supply and although it doesn't necessarily use that much it works hard under gaming conditions . I can see a considerable savings on my Smart Meter by using GeforceNow and streamed to my PC or other device.

If leaving Vodafone is not what you want, then I can't see you getting your answer.
I doubt even level 3 have the technical ability to understand the problem, let alone give you a reason.
Even if they did, I doubt they would put the effort in to find the answer as you appear to be the only one suffering it. (I'm not suggesting they would not do everything they could to fix a fault, but from their perspective, there is probably nothing that needs fixing.)

It's gone to Deadlock now. Had a nice chat to someone from the Customer Services after Level2 have exhausted their skillset. He was up near Liverpool on Vodafone FFTP and he is the first person I've spoken to who actually knew what GeforceNow (GFN) is.
He did a network test with GFN on his PC and it was perfect. No issues, Ready to go!
I may as well try another ISP after the CISAS complaint I'm not happy closing the fault when it still exists.
