High Latency Pro Full Fibre 900

Hello,

I've recently joined Vodafone (2 weeks ago ) and I was a bit surprised with the high latency, even when wired directly into the router. I'm in Newcastle and my gateway is reporting to be in Birmingham, and that single hop is 20ms.

My kids are playing MW2 this weekend and the latency is coming in at +30ms, this is no better than when I was on VDSL.

Do I have to wait for some sort of bedding in period or is this normal on a full fibre Vodafone network?

There's no bedding in period. You're amongst many others here suffering for what vodafone call upgrades. They have to practice some load balancing while the upgrade happens at your local gateway. Many if us have suffered from this for many months but as they get some practice they'll get faster at it - hopefully this'll sort itself soon.
