I used to get 5ms ping to London (from Coventry), now I am being auto connected to Edinburugh and I get 15 ping to there, when I try to speedtest to London or even right next to me in Leicester I am getting pings above 22...I called in and they just said "they added new servers and there's nothing much we can do"...

any help?

You are correct sir, I'm down south in Berkshire! I even tried a chat with the help team... they said anything below 100 is considered good. I said that's not the point why am I leaving their network in Scotland and that's likely why my latency sucks 🤣.

What's going on with vodafone today. My Vodafone app is broken,  the login page is broke, someone has cancelled my static IP and there's a new order been raised. Ringing the fraud number I need my account number to do anything about this, which I can't get until I can login.

It's all gone Tom & Jerry now.

Turns out I'm being reprovisioned. Would have been nice to get a little notice though 😅

Same issue here down in Portsmouth, thinkbroadband BQM shows avg latency of 30ms. Doing speedtests to various servers, I have never seen it below 20ms. Looks like frequent lag spikes too to almost 100+ms.

It's literally worse than what Ofcom / SamKnows have highlighted for ADSL2+ (a two decade old technology)! Yet Vodafone suggest its fine...

I hope Vodafone do something about this but it seems like they'll probably stay silent.

Hi everyone! We're still investigating this, however, we need as many examples as we can get. If you haven't already, please contact our Social Media team here, with a link to the thread and your username and they'll be able to raise your account to the correct team for you 🙂

Thanks for the reply here! Will definitely do that, hopefully everyone can show enough examples to get a good response from Vodafone.

Just messaged via Twitter messaging. Much appreciated.

Yep. Going to the Press seems like a plan. I thought I had solved my varied experience by going to my local councillor, a councillor who had been instrumental in making Coventry a gigacity with Vodafone/Cityfibre.

I had been putting up with regular IP changes with wide variations in speed and ping each time my IP address changed. My geolocation varied between London, Manchester and Edinburgh. After conversations between VF in Coventry  and my councillor,  I asked for and got a static ip which, although it located me in London, instead of the logical Birmingham, gave me a ping between 5ms and 8ms and consistent speeds of >940Mb  up and down.  Happy bunny  considering that with Virgin's gigabit product my ping was always >13ms.  But then it all changed.

After a couple of unexplained outages, although my IP remained the same, my average ping rose to 11ms, not vastly different than I had had with VM. It varies though. This is what I have today.

This just not good enough. Not as bad as some here, but definitely not what I am paying for. VF in their FTTP  advertising, tout low pings. This is not what I am getting.

With 10% confidence, my static ip is located in Coventry, where I live,  yet I am being routed via both London and Manchester in tracerts done within minutes of each other.  Why am I not being routed via Birmingham, for example?

90.246.0.1 is ldscd2-bng-c1, aka the Leeds gateway. That explains your ping. Certainly not ideal though it would be for me being 10 miles from Leeds. I'm still connected to Edinburgh even though my static IP geolocates to Watford 😒

It's becoming very clear there's nothing the support staff can do about this other than collect and collate so maybe the press is indeed the next step. I'm not an agitator but this really needs stirring up.

The threads been dead a week so - BUMP! The problem's not going away and neither am I.

Still connected via Edinburgh.
