I joke you not its like a kick in the teeth from VF or celebrating exactly a year of perfect 940/940 internet entire year and now, its back this time, Im getting 840/940 when testing to VF London but glasgow or edinburgh is down under 10mbps, so without further a do, in this order from bottom to top, Bracknell or southern england, over 350 miles away has best speed middle one is glasgow and top one is vodafone edinburgh, closest server to me.

Alright, we're in this together my man!

If you need to use the Internet in the meantime, connect to a VPN and it'll bypass the issue.

It was my third call to Vodafone today and I lost my temper, they essentially said they could do nothing as everything is showing as fine on their side, so yeah, I don't blame you. I'm going to try again tomorrow.

I'd advise you to call though, we need to get the issue on their radar with the volume of complaints. If you get a poor response, fill in the complaint form on the Vodafone site as it'll start an 8 week timer to allow you to escalate further if need be.

Please let me know how you get on, and I'll do the same! A problem shared is a problem halved.

@RebelRose

As you have this problem, but your dad just a few doors away doesn't, could you check both your routers and see what gateway addresses you have?

If they are different, could you post here just what they are.

I'm not sure which one is the gateway, and I'll get my Dad's soon.

@RebelRose  Can you please try with IPv6 turned off. There have been some IPv6 issues over the last few month. It would be interesting to see if it is faster over IPv4.

Sure, thanks for the tip, I'll figure out how to do that and try it tonight

I tried switching to IPv4 but it doesn't seem to have mattered - appreciate the suggestion though

In fact, I can turn off IPv6 locally, but I'm not sure how to do it for my Internet IP... I still seem to have an IPv6 address. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

@RebelRose You should be able to disable IPv6 in the router on the network settings page. You will probably have to connect to the router using a browser rather than the Vodafone app.

Same in AB21. I'm on a the fibre 500 plan. Download speeds drop to 3-4mb in evening during big ticket events, champions league semi finals. Speeds return to normal after midnight.

@AverageJoe58243 How far have you gotten with Vodafone? Please do call and mention you're from Aberdeen, and so are loads of other people affected. I'm doing that right now, and it's bypassed all the "let's restart your router" stuff, because I was able to tell them loads of customers in my city are affected. She's going to escalate it, on behalf of Aberdeen. She says there wouldn't be an update about the progress for 5-7 days though. It would be great if we could increase the volume of complaints though, so please do call!
