My vodafone internet WiFi is horribly slow and intermittent. I pay 70mpbs down and get ~6-7mpbs through wireless, even when standing directly adjacent to the router. I called technical services, who ran various tests and they concluded that the wifi signal was 'terrible' (their own words), but all they could suggest was performing a hard reset, which had no impact.
When connected by ethernet, my speeds are as expected. I cannot use wifi even from the room adjacent to where the router is positioned because of the slowness of connection and frequent drop-outs.
I need this to be sorted ASAP, please help!

The internet is fine but the WiFi isn't. Have you tried splitting the WiFi and connecting to just the 5Ghz?
Do you have another router you could use? Or an access point you could replace the WiFi with?
Even if vf manage to fix this for you or even replace the router (which will likely not fix the problem) it'll take so long repeatedly testing and contacting different departments you'll need a week's holiday just to recover.

I find the Wi-Fi on the THG3000 pretty good. I was sitting at the bottom of my garden streaming music on my phone this morning. The 5Ghz was down to 2 bars, but still fine. Perhaps your router is faulty, but do try splitting the bands and using only the 5Ghz as suggested by @Ripshod.
