My home WiFi has been terrible for a month abd now has stopped working g all together. Is there still a blackout and what is Vodafone doing about it ?

There wouldn't be a WiFi blackout, normally if the internet went down it would be wired and WiFi together. If your internet goes down for more than a couple of minutes and you've not heard anything from VF then ought to be contacting VF.
Routers do fail, and there are configs that can leave the router uncontactable by some devices, again it's probably a good idea to speak to customer services!
