When I spoke to VF (via chat) about porting just the landline to another provider they told me two different things (in the same chat):
1 - if I ported my phone service out I would be liable for the early termination charge on my broadband contract (£650!!!)
2 - I should find a sip provider, start the process and then come back and talk to VF
The motivation behind this is to get a sip service I can use on multiple devices with the bonus of getting shot of the VF router on my cityfibre service (and connecting my analogue phones via an ATA).
