Hi all. Like others on here, I am having trouble getting my landline number ported from TalkTalk to Vodafone. In my case, the number shows up in MyVodafone as associated with my account, and I can make outgoing calls that identify themselves using the number. But when I call it from my mobile the 'phone doesn't ring, and I get a message saying it isn't in service.
Vodafone have told me to contact TT, who tell me that they don't allow their numbers to be ported out, but clearly they do as otherwise my calls wouldn't identify as being from the old number... 😵
Any advice on what to try next?

I wonder if things have changed as I ported my number from tt without a hitch.
Vodafone should do the legwork on this as they're the ones who actioned your move - you should have no reason to contact tt. Asking you to contact tt is nonsense and likely someone who just can't be bothered to help.

Thanks - I was thinking that too.
Do you remember how long the porting process took? I'm about a week into my new service and am perhaps being too impatient (although a fully functioning landline would be great).

Ironically I had to have an openreach engineer out to do the physical changeover at the exchange because it was never done in the first place - this was 3 weeks after activation but really shouldn't be a guide. I like to believe if openreach had done it properly in the first place it would have been the same day.

Well, I'm dealing with City Fibre and don't have huge confidence in their ability to sort this.

The number porting will have nothing to do with CityFibre, as you will now be on digital voice.

@djcowlin - I'm sorry to hear your landline isn't fully connected with us yet. I'd like my team to take a look from our side and we can then get this raised. Please contact us through Social Media.
