Been with Vodafone for decades, landline 2 yrs, was coming to end of contract & got a letter saying sorry to see you go. I phoned Vodafone & said I wasn’t leaving & wanted new contract. Went through usual hour of holds ( when will Vodafone sort that horrible recording of hold songs) and questions. Then was told something was preventing the connection. Tried again for next few days( I should have been paid) then they cut me off & lost my landline number ( I’ve had for 42 years) which I use at times for working from home. I did the usual chat then calls to no avail. That was 1/08/24 & I’ve still not got a connection ( got their router last week) and the chances of getting my invaluable number back is dwindling. I’d love to complain about the complaints dept but it’s always pot luck who or where you get put through to.
I’d like this to be resolved so that I get my landline number back asap.
wish me luck

The Vodafone system needs better security, and more training .it seems a bogus porting initiative was placed on my account, my number belongs to a dodgy company in Birmingham now bt trying to get it back.
