Have just bought a new home phone (landline) with SMS feature.  I find I can send texts but not receive them.  I have caller display, but if a text is received it goes to voice.  Can I receive texts on my landline phone with my Superfast1 contract?

I can't directly answer your query as I don't have a text phone.

However since being on Vodafone I have noticed that if someone sends a text to my landline it gets read out to me by a BT service.

If you take a look at this BT help page it's says you can turn off the voice service by sending #2# to 00000.

Whether that would revert to text instead of voice I don't know.
