Hi,

Has anyone with the Gigacube had recent drop outs?

Its been performing well for quite a few months but recently its been shockingly bad and dropping down to 1mbps with a previous of 30mbps on average. I was wandering if Vodafone has done anything to help anyone out that has had the same issue. Its basically unusable,

We have the unlimited bundle and we use a lot of it because there are 7 of us in the house. Im just wandering if Vodafone slow us down on purpose to use less of their data?

Let me know.

Thanks, Zak

Hi @10hartz

To the best of my knowledge Vodafone do not throttle speeds unless stated as in some Vodafone tariffs.

i.e unlimited-data-plans.

The Gigacube  works using the network infrastructure so it maybe worth checking your local and surrounding masts via the Vodafone status-checker

You can check surrounding masts via panning out on the map.

My personal opinion is that due to more people working from home and people being furloughed this would have an impact on speeds in some cases.

Vodafone are reacting as explained in Coronavirus-advice

Sometimes a soft reboot by turning a device Off and On may help.

There are some more via a forum search.
