Sim not activated

Good day
In early spring I bought a Data SIM, Vodafone UK, 15 GB for £25.
I wanted to use it in my laptop/tablet in Turkey and Greece from May onwards.

But then Covid 19 prevented me from travelling by motorhome. But at the end of September I was still able to go to the South of Italy.  But when I wanted to use this SIM, I read that I should have activated this SIM until 19,Sept.
So I paid 25 £ for nothing.
What do you think

Cheers for posting this! So to clarify, you didn't activate your SIM until you went to Italy? When did you originally get the SIM? If you've taken a contract out with you, you'll be charged from when you took the contract out even if you've not been using the SIM.
