Vodafone Unlimited 4G broadband - any good?

Moving into a studio apartment where I'll be paying for my own internet. Oddly there's no fibre coverage despite being in the city centre.

As I'm working from home, I want to get connected as soon as I move in. There's a Virgin Media installation in the building already, but their cheapest plan is 30 euro per month for six months and 60 thereafter. I'm living on my own so that's a bit steep.

Is this mobile broadband any good in terms of speed and reliability? I'd probably go with the free 4G modem as 99 quid is a lot for 5G. I stream a lot of video and take plenty of video calls at work. I don't play multiplayer games but I download the odd Switch game.

What really matters is your proximity to your nearest cell tower and the signal strength stats you can achieve between the router and cell tower. In my case, we have line of sight to our nearest Vodafone cell tower and an outdoor router. In general the service has been pretty good on the whole. Customer service is dire and needs improving, but Vodafone are now under tremendous pressure to improve it.
