Mobile internet - poor

Hello!

I live in the IP4 3NG and the mobile data is is extremely poor for calls, which I find not all that satisfactory.  I am aware of a mast at a nearby school which I believe that my mobile is connected to. I have attended to all the trouble shooting, refreshed the connection on the network.  The mobile is not the issue, as if  drive to a postcode IP3 9SN, there are no issues  It is a though that possible work maybe going on the mast that I mentioned.  I am aware that I can easily switch over to WIFI Calling, however this really ought not to be the case.  I do realise that 5G will be switched on soon, although is there anyone at Vodafone could kindly advise of any update please.

Thank you.

Hi @JamesBond Thanks for getting in touch. I've taken a look at your postcode and the coverage is good. I've also taken a closer look at the mast you connect to (No. 5483) and it's currently working as expected with no known issues. That's not to say an issue isn't present though so we'd be more than happy to look into this further. Please drop the social media team a message to get started, and let them know you've posted here too.

Voice calls do not use mobile data - which do you have problems with?

Mobile data would affect any internet-based services on your phone, such as web browsing & internet-apps.

Hello!

It is to do with calls, however the fact that calls are VOIP, they can either be routed over mobile data or WIFI calling.  I agree with you that poor mobile data would affect browsing etc, however also calls.

Direct-dialled voice calls do not use mobile data.

If using WiFi-calling, you're using VF's core network but bypassing the radio access layer.
