Network problems in USA

Hi - I am having difficulty connecting to a network in the USA. My phone only ever picks up an Edge network even though better service exists with other providers. Three different ideas for trouble shooting have led nowhere. Any ideas?

Exactly the same here in both California in the summer and NYC in September.

 

Edge at best but most of the time nothing. Very occasional glimpses of 4G just for a second or two. I’ve also reset Network Setting s with no success. 


iPhone 11 Pro, Vodafone UK, connecting to TMobile in the US. Nothing from AT&T when automatic network selection is turned off. I

I should also add that landing briefly in Canada seemed fine. 4G even inside the plane.

That is exactly what has happened to me, Someone at Vodafone suggested that it would be fixed in 3-5 days (escalated to a manager), but that sounds very unlikely to me. It’s strange as I’ve travelled here many times recently and never encountered the problem.

This is what the Vodafone agent told me to do. Whether it works or not I don’t know, I rather suspect not…

 


Alright, I've removed/added back the roaming services on account over here as discussed to get this sorted out for you.

 

Ideally, customers are to turn off phone, remove SIM/insert back & turn on phone back first, then switch over to 4G only network mode, click on any local network for a second & then select T-Mobile network manually & get back to home screen so as you could get along with roaming services hassle free thereafter.

 

However, since you seems to be have been chatting through same phone, kindly switch over to 4G only network mode first while mobile data is turned on & Wi-Fi is turned off, then put phone on flight mode for 15 seconds & turn off flight mode & check if you could get along with all phone services thereafter.

 

SIM might take up to couple of minutes to get connected with network completely after manual network selection & display network bars on your phone screen.
So, kindly keep an eye on your phone screen after performing steps & check/confirm once you see network bars over there.
