Ok, old question... What’s the maximum message size nowadays?

So I’ve always had an MMS add on and pushed the settings to get the max out of my msgs. When Vodafone  upgraded to the MMS 2 standard I was straight in  playing aboutt with the maximum msg size.

So now for some reason I’ve been able to send videos in 1080p to another Vodaphone user from my iPhone to their Galaxy that have a length of 1minute 30 when I was lucky to send 22secomds before and the quality would be cut right down too.
So far I’ve also sent M4a audio files at 44.1khz sample rate that are 2 minutes 30 seconds long and haven’t managed to find a maximum length yet but based on the size of the video imagine I could send audio that’s like 10 minutes long.

Did I miss something new being introduced or has Vodafone got plans up it’s sleeve to rejuvenate MMS messaging and not officially rolled it out yet?

I’ve always enjoyed being able to send instant MMS’s and not have to use an app even when Vodafone Reps would tell me to save money and ‘just use whatsapp’ .

If anyone does know what the deal is  with the MMS then would you know if it’s a cross network thing? As I know networks share transmitters (and I assume modems) so should all use the same standards.

I’m so happy MMS has finally been updated and is making use of the 4&5G bandwidth. It’s about time there’s a reason for people to want to send MMS’s again!

Apologies if this has already been answered by someone.
