Dear All,
I have an iPhone 13pro and recently have been noticing that I have no network coverage (E symbol). I have restarted my phone to no avail.
it is now becoming an issue as I work in the NHS and on a number of occasions this has happened outside a major London Hospital.
Can anyone suggest, what I can do?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hey @Sanjivsai, you can check our coverage anywhere in the UK with our Network Status Checker. We also have some helpful troubleshooting steps and checks to help with the most common issues. If you're unable to see an issue on our status checker and the trouble shooting steps haven't help resolve your issue, please pop us a message via one of our social channels, and we'll be happy to take a closer look for you.

It sounds frustrating, especially since reliable network coverage is crucial for your work at the NHS. You can try resetting your network settings by going to *Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings*. This won’t erase data, but it will reset Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular settings. Also, check with your carrier to ensure there are no outages or coverage issues in your area. If the problem persists, visiting an Apple Store or contacting your carrier for further troubleshooting might help.

E is indicative of your phone using 2G. Rebooting your phone should force a reselection to 4G even if VF's cell-idle criteria are not doing the same.

Hi Sanjivsai, I'm having the same issue. Signal always on E and therefore practically no data. Have you managed to resolve the problem? My employer's IT dept advised to switch to O2 but Vodafone worked fine the past, cannot believe it's now permanently on Edge. Also, not sure if related, I used to have a Samsung when signal was fine but I now have iPhone SE. Thanks for your help (PS I have already done all the usual tricks, on/off, latest software installed, 4G signal selected in settings)

Hi @StefCam and everyone! My experience was not as bad as yours but over the last month has got worse and now I see the E symbol many times each day, mostly if I'm not in an actual decent sized town or city. If my memory serves me correctly, this did not used to be the case at any point in the last 18 or 19 years. I think the 3G switch off or rather, the job the 3G network was doing prior to switch off, has been underestimated.

Thanks @Racal-Yodafone; my phone is on Edge all the time, in the office, in the city centre (mid size UK city with good 4G signal on other networks), at home (city outskirts). Also, I suspect what you say re 3G switch off is indeed the issue here, and other threads in this community reported the same problem months ago @Rxbski @Lee_Paul but the issue does not seem to have been acknowledged as far as I can see, and no solution seems to have been found yet.

Vodafone will not do anything about this problem. Instead of fixing the problem, they preferred to let me out my contract and now on EE works a lot better and have not seen E once.
