Didn't understand a word of that, but I have no idea what BG (British Gas?) sockets are.
But yes, turning WPS off, after you have used it, is a good idea.

sir
Thanks for help, your workround worked, the way was to use a simpler device than a phone, Itried to use my tablet on a hotspot from my phone but wifi wont allow this so i tried using tablet on router wifi instead of phone, connected immediatly and because of BG account phone now sees sockets and operates them, thank you very much for your help
GAZ
ps you suceeded where vodafone tech help failed

@Jayach In this case BG is British General, and they are a supplier of electrical fittings, wall sockets distribution boxes and the like. And they are generally much better than average quality (I'm not being paid to say this).
The wall sockets are interesting because once you have them set up, they form their own mesh, with only the single device that gets the best WiFi signal actually connecting to the router. They look good, they switch fast, don't need a separate hub, and so far seem reliable. They've replaced the Energenie MiHome smart sockets that I fitted when moved in, but just in those places where a smart adapter is inconvenient!

As a heads up the AP setup has reappeared in the BGe app!
Main page
Press the "+"
Then "Add Device"
Then "WiFi Equipment"
"Manual Setup"
"AP Setup Mode"
And it'll talk you through from there!
It's also possible to use the "Broadlink" app to set up and control these sockets!
