Hi all,
just noticed this evening that my sync speed - which has always been a healthy 74Mbps - has dropped to 42 and this now seems to be the norm. Apparently my contract lapsed in May, which I only just discovered via the broadband app.
Two queries, really -
firstly, are Vodafone not obliged by OFCOM to notify me in advance of my broadband contract expiry (I’ve noticed they’ve moved me onto a monthly rolling contract and the price has already gone up!)
and secondly, is the drop in speed somehow because my contract has expired, and since I’m no longer covered by the Minimum Speed Guarantee, VF are now consciously delivering a worse service?
Anyone else noticed anything similar happen to them? I’ve been super happy with the Vodafone Superfast 2, but the combination of failing to notify me about the contract ending, and the 40-odd per cent drop in speed has really cheesed me off. Any thoughts would be welcome.
