WD NAS storage doesn't show up in the new Super Fast Vodafone router

Since I got Vodafone broadband my WD NAS storage doesn't show up in the Vodafone Router.

The ethernet lights are amber for left and amber blinking on the right meaning I have a 1000Mbps connection.

But when I go to the router to check the IP address of the NAS storage, there is no IP for the NAS on the LAN connection.

Quite weird.

Help.

Even without a connection the green and Amber LEDs will show a connection and activity.

I think someone may have set up a static ip on the NAS, so there would be two ways to get back in. Firstly setting the router's LAN IP range to the same as the old router. Or reset the NAS - you'll have to check in the manual or with other users but you shouldn't lose any data with a reset.

@Ripshod  Now your post only showed-up after I had pressed "Post Message", I wonder how many seconds you beat me by. 😂

@JoseAlmeida  The router defaults itself to 192.168.1.1 so if your previous setup was on a different range, perhaps 192.168.0.x or 10.0.0.x, then you need to either change the router, or perhaps easier the NAS, settings.

I can access the router using the 192.168.1.1

But inside on the LAN connected devices, I cant find the WD NAS Storage IP.

Do you still have the old router?

Plug NAS and one computer into the old router. Do not connect the old router to the internet. Start everything, then you should be able to get to the NAS settings and change them for the new router. Unplug and swap over.

I do not have the old router anymore, I return it back to VM, I returned all the equipment to VM.

Should I go back to VM?

The default IP subnet for VM routers is 192.168.0.0/24, so you just have to go into the lan settings and change 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.0.1

Tried that, doesn't work.

In what way didn't it work? The base address wasn't changed or you still can't see the NAS?
