New Fibre router 900Mb/s in modem mode

Hi. I was offerd full-fibre broadband but I have a question if I can set a new vodafone router to modem mode as I'm currently using Asus RT-AC5300 with all port forwarding and other VPN settings. Could you please advise? Many thanks
