When I try to connect to Voicemail I get a message advising that you are unable to connect.
We purchased this phone for business use to work from home and have all calls from the office transferred to this phone so I urgently need to be able to set a message.

If nothing helps in How-do-I-set-up-and-manage-my-voicemail. then Live Chat or the Vodafone Social Media Teams via Contact-us-for-account-specific-queries will be able to help as they have account access.
Unfortunately there is no account access via this forum.
I'd suggest to use Twitter and link back to your thread here including your forum username so your not having to repeat yourself.

That's great, thank you for your help. I am just waiting for a text to come through to activate and hopefully I will have voicemail soon.

Dialling 1211 would activate your voicemail.
Calls to voicemail are charged at 30p per minute and to connect to voicemail you will need credit on the phone or an inclusive PAYG Big Value Bundle, you would also have need to make a chargeable connection to fully activate the SIM.
If you have credit to take care of voicemail calls and have turned on the service, this would be something live chat or Customer Services will be able to look at and get working for you.

I am having this same issue. I've made and received calls and texts, but when I call 121, I get the option to press 1 to connect to vodaphone voicemail service, and when I do it says "we were unable to connect you, goodbye". Pressing 2 just told me how the voicemail works, and there aren't any other options.
I tried calling vodafone and they say they don't have any reps available to help, same for online chat. I need to activate my voicemail as I'm putting my number down on job applications. What should I do?

@livethedance Have you tried dialling 1211 first before calling 121? By dialling 1211, this will automatically activate your Voicemail feature on the SIM.

Hi Josh,
I ended up getting help from Tom via Vodafone's facebook messenger. He had to do a couple of things before dialling 1211 worked, but he solved my issue. Thank you for getting back to me.
