I am trying to set up a my vodafone account. However, I keep getting an error message saying as follows:
We can't match your name with a contact on your account, please check and try again. If you continue to have difficulties please check out our help and support information or contact an adviser over Live Chat.
The live chat function cannot understand what I am saying. Clearing cookies/using a different browser makes no difference. I have a PAYG mobile.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Are you using Vodafone Mobile Data to first set up your myvodafone ?

Your problem here will be needing to top up and make a chargeable connection before setting up the account and registering for the Application. See this link: Just joined on PAYG - Setting up your SIM when you have completed Step 3 you should be in a good position to complete the accounts set up.
As you have already done, clear cookies again, sometimes it can be be a simple cookie stopping registration.
