I upgraded on of my phones at the end of December 2021 and was told phone would be delivered in 3-5 days. After 10 days I queried delay and next day (Friday)phone turned up delivers by DPD unannounced, wrong colour but typed note within apologising that original colour not in stock and any issues contact 191. The original phone then delivered on the Monday, correct colour and accompanied by the correct invoice and all the associated texts and emails.

I have tried via chat and 191 on several

occasions to get someone send me a package to get the “extra” phone back to Vodafone but I am getting nowhere. ( I have had major issues with this upgrade and the trade in phone/discount but that’s a whole other story!
many advice as to what to do now? In the good old days I would just sell the 2nd phone but I am aware it’s not mine. It does not appear on any of my billing or handset charges.

My own integrity wouldn't let me sell something that wasn't mine either @dhillk198

You could drop the phone off at your most local Vodafone shop or contact the Vodafone Social Media Teams who will help.

Whatever you do don't take the phone into a store for return, it could lead to all sorts of problems, it has to go through the correct channels.

Let the Social Team do their investigations or go through Customer Services.

I agree totally with AnnS here.  Do not, under any crcumstances, take it into a Vodafone shop. The shops exist solely to sell phones and contracts, not to provide any kind of customer service.   If you take the 2nd handset to one of those it will disappear,  probably without record, and then when Vodafone eventually catch up they will try to charge you for it.
