Evening,
So I renewed one of my phones and it had the offer of free airpods. A webchat a short while after advised they will be sent within 30 days.
30 days later and another webchat and it is apparently 30 working days, they are sent direct from Apple, I'll receive a despatch notice by email and Vodafone have no mechanism to check/chase.
30 working days is up today and I've heard nothing.
Has anyone had theirs? If so, how long did it takr from purchase/renewal to actually getting them? I'm loathed to speak to Vodafone for them to just move the goal posts again.

Exactly the same problem here. The offer stated
"All qualifying customers who are outside their cooling off period of 14 days and have paid their first bill will be sent the AirPods by Vodafone via DPD courier. Customers should receive their AirPods automatically within 30 days of order."
But have been told by Vodafone online chat that its 30 days + the 14 days cooling off period. Even with the 44 day delay I still should have received mine by now, and still no sign.
Felt sorry for the guy on live chat as its not his fault, and he said he'd received a lot of queries and complaints about it. A really poor showing from Vodafone

That's a new one to me. It does seem that they are making up reasons to just make you wait longer. I spoke to Customer Services yesterday and they went on to quote something along the lines of "while stocks last". They have offered something else. I won't say what that is just yet as I'm sceptical it will actually happen but I'll report back if it does.

Hi all.
Had fun and games, including being incorrectly told by live chat that you could go in to store to collect them (if anyone says this, the info is incorrect). Finally spoke to the complaints department, and they were able to sort it for me

And how have they sorted it for you please ? I would love to know as I'm also still waiting on mine

They told me to go buy some and they will refund me. So I have some now and will have to see if I pay nothing for my contracts for the next couple of months. I have the emails from the Customer Service Advisor confirming they would credit my account so fingers crossed I have no more issues.

Just to add to this. I also upgraded early December and expected Airpods early January. I got the total run around online and over the phone. Even tried sorting via the Facebook page and that didn't work either. Finally was told to go into store and if they had them in stock they would let me have them OR they would refund the £129 so that I could buy them myself. Went into the store and even though they had them in stock they would NOT do this.
The store passed me onto the complaints department who have now promised me these things in the next 2 days. Fingers crossed they will actually turn up. Each person you talk to just fobs you off to anyone they can. They don't care. I give Vodafone a lot of money each year and its simply unacceptable to be treated like this.
