Hi All,
Some great advice here on problems - here's mine:
I took out a contract for a device (wireless dongle) back in 2017. This was on behalf of my employer, who were supposed to pay.
They missed a payment, so it ended up being classed as a default, although I wasn't made aware of this until it was put out for collection.
When I discovered this, I had left that job, so I took the decision to promptly pay the outstanding amount myself, which I did, also in 2017.
It appears this debt was never shown as being settled, which means 5 years on, I am having major issues with my previously perfect credit rating, according to Experian.
I need at the least for this payment to be shown and backdated as a minimum. I have spent hours on the phone with Vodafone, bounced between different teams who either can't find any details or won't talk to me as I'm not the (business) account holder.
Could anyone help put me in touch with a credit resolution team or similar? Right now, I'm being held personally responsible for something with no means to fix it, which is really upsetting tbh...
Cheers
G
