I’m currently in the US, where Vodafone use T-Mobile and AT and T. I wanted to make people aware there’s a technical issue with AT and T that prevents voice calls being made and received. Calls can be made on T- Mobile, but I find that their coverage is inferior to AT and T,’s. After several conversations with Voda tech support, they acknowledged there is a problem with AT and T, but, apparently, they’re not in touch with AT and T to resolve the problem.

Updating this.
After another NY and LA trip, both AT&T and T-Mobile VoLTE roaming are now working in both locations. In fact when I landed in NY, my iPhone 13 logged onto T-Mobile first and 4G roaming and calling worked well.

I have not had any issues with Roaming in USA. Network Selection on Auto.
Aug 3 lines Roaming in New York/New Jersey/Pennsylvania.
Sep/Oct 2 Lines Road Trip via 22 States and not a singles issue. Well actually Yellowstone National Park did not have any signal in many places but that was because of there was no Signal at all.
Nov 1 Line New York/New Jersey

Another update - my S20+ Ultra worked fine this time in the Orlando area during our trip out there a couple of weeks ago, both on T-Mobile and AT&T, and with no changes from the default settings. Faultless for the entire 3 weeks.
Calls, messages and data were all fine, with 'HD' appearing on the calls (probably on AT&T but not 100% sure!)

Hey @eventus99. Thank you for keeping us updated regarding the use of your mobile services in the USA. It's great to hear that you were able to use your calls, texts and data without facing any hurdles for the entire three weeks.

Now need to know when can we roam on 5G in the US? US people can roam in UK on 5G...

Rest assured @bedasaka that we're constantly growing our 5G network both in and outside of the UK - we're rolling 5G out as quickly and efficiently as we can. As the first mobile network to offer 5G roaming, although we don't have an estimated time frame as to when you'll be able to use 5G in the USA, we’re still continuing to roll it out across Europe faster than any other network.
As touched on above, although I can't answer your question at this moment in time, you can sign up to find out more about the Vodafone 5G network on our Why choose Vodafone 5G? web page - simply scroll down to the section titled 'Stay up to date with Vodafone 5G' and select 'Keep me posted'.

In NYC, the only network I seemed to be able to connect to with my S22 Ultra was AT&T. Speeds were terrible (they always have been on AT&T) and slow browsing. Got about 25Mbit/s speedtests but still slow surfing.
VoLTE roaming worked.
Similar speeds on EE which showed as 5G on an iPhone, so no difference between 4G/5G for me.

I'm currently out in the US experiencing this rubbish - both myself and my wife are with VF and having the same issues so keen to find out if it's going to suddenly work tomorrow!

Today, Vodafone have published an article confirming the US call issues, that I and others have attempted to highlight over the last few weeks. It even states that there will be a solution later in the year by 4G calling being enabled. Missing though is the duff advice I've been given that what the US carriers are doing is nothing to do with Vodafone, and that I should contact the US carriers direct for a solution when I next go there. Presumably in order to enable 4G calling , Vodafone will need to have some contact with the US carriers, which they've steadfastly told me they won't do.
Someone in Vodafone must have known what is going in the US for months and that a solution was being worked on. Why has it been so hard to extract this information from Vodafone, resulting in great frustration and complaints, all of which could have been avoided. It really isn't surprising that Vodafone has such a poor reputation for customer service and complaint resolution.

Having read the above article published by Vodafone UK news centre on Friday I’ve gone back to Ahmed Essam’s Office who on Thursday claimed that Vodafone had no knowledge of this!
It makes a mockery of the claim that a ‘specialist’ will carefully review your complaint.
What faith can anyone have in Vodafone when even the office of the CEO doesn’t know what the Newscentre is about to publish.
Anyway at least I’m able to say ‘I told you so’ a lot sooner than I expected.
